Coal is dying all by itself anyway, and continued to do so during Trump's tenure. If I had any influence, I would stay clear of giving easy headline gifts to the Republicans (in the short/medium term), and instead force through bigger supports for New Renewable Energy in places like WV. Then when you get a critical mass of Renewables, start squeezing fossil fuels out of the market.
