I don't know if that is true, but that would be the least damning way to look at their defection if it is true. Sometimes votes like that are cleared behind closed doors with party leaders.

inside the Democratic voting bloc, toward its right side, on the govtrack.us graph -- so, far from what this vote might suggest.

Schrader's been in since 2009, but otherwise much the same.

My best guess is that both did have Pelosi's permission.

Golden had the 14th most conservative record among House Democrats in 2019. Schrader is a Blue Dog. Very disappointing that they can’t at least get this right.
