Regardless of the agreement between Schumer and McConnell on power sharing not to get rid

of the filibuster, is there anything to stop the Senate Democrats from going back on that agreement, and get rid of the filibuster, assuming we have 51 votes in the Senate to do it?

So the sole reason the filibuster stays is because of Manchin and the one Senator in Arizona still_one Feb 2021 #2
It wasn't in the agreement so it can be nuked later. mobeau69 Feb 2021 #3

If we can add two seats than we can nuke the filibuster for the second half of Biden's first term, allowing him to complete his first term agenda then.

is relying on Manchin and Sinema’s assurances that they won’t get rid of the filibuster. Nothing’s in writing. I hope Manchin and Sinema reconsider their positions.

have opportunities. Then we could get rid of the filibuster. In the meantime...the ACA and taxes can be addressed in reconciliation...maybe we could get something for infrastructure and green jobs.
