The scary thing about conspiracies is that they feed on both ideological sides. We mock QAnon but there's a lot of those people who were involved in the Occupy movement that became hard-core Trumpers.

A girl I used to date, who would go to Iraq War protests and was damn near a Hippie is now a Trump loving QAnon nutter. Of course, her current partner is a Nazi so... I'm baffled how these people can change so dramatically.
