(22,895 posts)He wasn't my first choice. He was close to my last choice, to be frank.
I cannot argue with his first month + in office.

(32,823 posts)He was supposed to be the keynote speaker at our state chairperson's annual brunch. He got laryngitis. Our replacement speaker was Mayor Pete. I was happy with that.
The next year we had Nancy Pelosi. I was happy with that one, too.
Maybe we can have in-person brunches again. If not this year, next year.

(30,613 posts)I have been stunned, to say the least, at Biden's performance.

(3,340 posts)Like a pair of big jumper cables. Rep. Clyburn backed Joe but I think helped him more by focusing on key areas. He criticized Joe for not raising enough money. Jim said Joe hated it but he would have to do it. He was right and Joe listened and changed. He broke multiple fund raising records thereafter. Biden had no money and won the primary on that Super Tuesday. I would argue without James Clyburn that there would not be a Biden Administration today.

(67,782 posts)....candidate who could beat trump. And Biden DID beat trump. Imagine where we'd be if trump won? Look at what's going on in Florida, I can't fathom what that would be like under different circumstances.
