2. I truly am mystified what people see in Trump.

I usually think of charismatic people as being ones who can get people to follow them. For example, David Koresh (Branch Davidians) was usually described as a charismatic and magnetic man. Jim Jones was described as a charismatic and a visionary. Donald Trump has all the charm of a rattlesnake, and his only vision is how to bilk his followers and anyone else out of their money. So if it isn’t charm or vision, what is it about him that appeals to his followers? Is it that he’s coarse, just as many of them are? Or is it simpler? They know he is a racist who wants every black and brown person out of the country, just as they do.

What amazes me is the absolute worship his supporters give him, as if he is a god. What is it about the Republican personality that causes them to worship a man like Trump. Many also came very close to worshipping Reagan. I don’t recall any Democratic figure being worshipped in such a way (yes, I know, we have more sense). We love the Obamas, but I don’t think we worship them.
