Trump backs out of announcing new presidential campaign at CPAC: report

David Edwards

February 28, 2021

Former President Donald Trump is not expected to announce a new presidential campaign at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) on Sunday.

Aides gave Fox News a preview of the former president's speech after some reports said that he would declare himself the "presumptive 2024 nominee" at CPAC. But instead of declaring his intentions to run, sources told Fox News that he would walk "right up to the line of announcing another campaign."

Fox News also obtained an excerpt from Trump's speech indicating that he does not want to form his own party.

"We are not starting new parties, and we will not be dividing our power and our strength. Instead, we will be united and strong like never before," Trump will say.

My bet is that it will be some kind of PAC. To which I say fine have the man who killed 1/2 million
Americans, an active Russian agent, undergoing some kind of cognitive decline, and tried to violently
overthrow the government so he could declare martial law as the face of your party. You will bring
in and or keep the racist dumb fucks as a base but the rest of America is done with Donny.

he wants the super pac but doesn't want the money going into any campaign, he wants to just keep the money. As long as his cult believes he is running that's all that matters. I caught a picture of him golfing yesterday, wow, without his corset and tailor made clothing the guy has put a few pounds on. The Diet Coke isn't working.

bloviating, rallying, campaigning for four years.

The press just loves to cover every idiotic remark he emits from his pie hole and in many cases it’s just a bunch of lies that no one bothers to refute. Wish Dems were better at getting their message out.
