Aides tell the Associated Press that Donald Trump will use his speech at the Conservative Political Action Conference to blast President Joe Biden and try to cement his status as the partys undisputed leader going forward despite his loss in November.
Trump will say, according to released excerpts: I stand before you today to declare that the incredible journey we began together four years ago is far from over. We are gathered this afternoon to talk about the future the future of our movement, the future of our party, and the future of our beloved country.
According to USA Today, Trump will say Biden has had the most disastrous first month of any president in modern history.
White House officials have said neither they nor Biden plan to comment much on Trumps speech because they expect to be busy working.

(6,377 posts)Yeah, Biden's nearly 55 percent approval rating sure shows that. And the relief checks and massive COVID relief bill coming in the next two weeks. Oh, and the new daily high's we're hitting with COVID vaccinations and plummeting COVID cases nationwide.
I think the American public feel a little differently, Mr. Former President.

(6,377 posts)I was just going off the 538 average. I expect it to jump a couple points once COVID relief passes.

(11,850 posts)There is absolutely NO room in a democracy for a Presidency in exile. It has long been established etiquette for former Presidents to never comment on current administration policy. (I know... the zero has no use for etiquette or civility, or humanity, but the media pretends to)
Turn the cameras OFF. The MSM is wholly responsible for this.
If we want to take action about this, it should include a boycott of the 24hr news networks who are clearly addicted to the divisions in this country and the exploitation the same.
