Why cannot the media hold Republicans and Democrats to the same standard?

Mainstream media does not represent Republicans and Democrats equally because the group defined by media represent two different things. When the media talks about republicans they speak to the individual, the persons in and/or supporting them. They speak of how republican leaders are in their seats defending and fighting for the individual. OTOH when they speak of democrats they speak of our leaders and not us as people. They talk about how we are nothing but followers of a corrupt establishment, just the opposite. When saying R, it's the voter, the individual. When saying D, it's those bad politicians.

When is it better to have 100 angry individuals than to have an angry crowd of 100? Maybe the day before an insurrection? Maybe when attacking social programs? Maybe when rescheduling an airline flight? And when is the opposite true? Whenever it's convenient.
