(47,357 posts)all over the place, but after that the story started coming together. I love Matthew MacFadyen and can watch him in almost anything.
I usually turn on closed captions, especially for British or Irish shows. Also I am hard of hearing.
So now you're SheilaAnn, no more Monmouth!
SheilaAnn
(9,691 posts)it referred to so I let it go.

(47,357 posts)Its one of the names that kind of stuck with me. SheilaAnn will be very easy to remember though. Glad I noticed you were formerly Monmouth4!

(47,357 posts)I remember you hanging out with me and Piranha back in the early days of DU.

(47,357 posts)and few others from back then on Facebook. A few quit coming to DU, but we have our own private group on Facebook for political as well as private interactions. I believe Piranha was the first DUer that I got to know well, probably during the 2004 primaries. I think I got to know you at that time.
SheilaAnn
(9,691 posts)most likely that is when we connected. Glad we did!

(47,357 posts)I try to remember some of the DU names of people I knew back then, but without seeing them on a regular basis, it just slips away like so many things. I just figure that at our age, our memory banks get full and we can only retain so much information. I sure did spend an awful lot of time at DU back then though.

(9,691 posts)The dust just keeps coming back and clean floors are highly overrated. Besides at this point in my life, I have to conserve whatever energy I can. I spent too many years worrying about trivial things and in retrospect it seems rather unimportant.

(1,322 posts)but NOOOOOO, he's still here. Very frustrating that otherwise entertaining nighttime hosts, particularly Kimmel, continue to dwell on him in monologues. They need to watch some of their openings circa 2012 to see what they talked about before him. Just think how much of this would go away if he simply ceased to exist. I know, useless wishful thinking.

(20,572 posts)how to take over the news cycle. If it isn't trump it will be cruz, hawley, or the others who are clinging to his coattails. This will be the norm for years to come until we ignore them and the media does as well. All they have to offer is outrageous behavior - think 4 year old - that will be topic one for the talking heads. The destruction will continue.

(111,224 posts)TNT has a Star Wars marathon going. Aging movies I've seen dozens of times are a lot more interesting and a hell of a lot more relevant than anything that bunch has to say. Even the transparent Nazi symbolism is passé.

(28,787 posts)yeah. the most i'm consuming consists of reading OP titles on DU.
