That "former guy" only got 55% votes of the straw pole!

I am not who got the rest, but I would have thought he would have gotten way more votes in that straw poll?

If tickets and expenses were paid for the most rabid of his followers to be there, he'd get closer to what he expected. Republicans with money got what they wanted as far as the tax cuts and judges. I bet they hope he goes away without doing any more damage. You might not get many to say that on camera though.
