(32,017 posts)My only concern is that Margarine Greenes district is awfully white. Mr. Flowers is not.
That said, I would support him out of principle.

(10,014 posts)What do Georgia DUers think about the race so far?
Sparked by Greenes polarizing persona, the race for the seat is fast getting crowded. Flowers is one of at least four Democrats who have filed paperwork to challenge Greene, and several Republicans are eyeing the race as well.
They see an opening after Greene was exiled from two committees in an extraordinary rebuke last month for her support of extremist ideology, which has included support for the QAnon conspiracy, remarks suggesting the Sept. 11 attacks were plotted by the government and claims that a Jewish cabal used an orbital laser beam to spark a deadly wildfire.

I hope that I am wrong.

(2,781 posts)Granted, it may be an uphill battle in that district, but we need to support candidates in every district, in all 50 states.
Besides, look at what Stacey Abrams accomplished in what so many used to write off as a red state.
We may not win everywhere, every time, but if we play it safe, we are certain to lose.

(94,535 posts)If you have $2.3 M you can give the maximum contribution to every Democratic candidate. If not, you have to prioritize WHICH races to support. The dollar you give to Greene's opponent is a dollar you can't give to a vulnerable Democratic incumbent or more competitive challenger.
Consider the Koch Brothers; they didn't win by wasting money on competitors to Nancy Pelosi or Bernie Sanders; they spent picking off Democrats in seats that were competitive.

2014: Republican unopposed.
This is not a competitive seat.

(19,201 posts)Here we go again. He sounds like a fine candidate to get MTG (Q-Georgia) out of our government. Once a month until he WINS, and he's going to beat her hands down.

(20,759 posts)Just wondering why he's wearing a hat that would look more congruent if he was running in Montana or Colorado...
NOT criticizing the man or his message, which is very powerful!
But does the cowboy hat thing work in GA, too?
curiously,

(3,282 posts)Please, learn from your previous mistakes. Don't fund hopeless campaigns. MTG's only chance to lose this district is in the primary, not in the general. She'll win by 40+ points against this guy.
Spend your money in competitive districts that we can defend or flip back after losing them in 2020.

(3,282 posts)Take your money out back and light it on fire. It will help Democrats win just as much.
You beat MTG by making sure she doesn't become part if the majority. You aren't going to beat her in that district with a democrat.
