I got a reply when I made a similar comment here a few weeks ago. Paraphrasing: Gitmo should be shut down. I’m inclined to agree, so here’s my suggestion: set up a new federal maximum-security penitentiary. In Alaska. North of the Arctic Circle. Surrounded by frozen tundra. Sort of a Qlag, patterned after the Soviets’ (and the Russians’) gulags, but for Qanon and other conspiracy theorists who try to bring down our republic.

Send a crystal clear message to others fomenting insurrection and terrorism: don’t even think about crossing this line. If people thought February’s arctic blast was bad, picture living in such conditions 24/7/365.

My fear is that with all the reframing ang gaslighting the Republicans are doing now to portray the insurrection as not really that bad, or really the work of antifa plants, or even justified, that by the time the next election rolls around their narrative will be that all these guys are innocent martyrs and the Republican candidates (especially if it's Trump) will run on a vow to pardon them all.
