A Trump supporter who took part in the January 6th riots at the United States Capitol building has been indicted weeks after he challenged federal law enforcement officials to "investigate deez nuts."
In a new court filing released Monday, an FBI special agent details the social media posts of a man named James Matthew Horning who repeatedly photographed and took video of himself during the Capitol riot while also throwing taunts at law enforcement officials.
In one video, Horning lights up what he says is a marijuana cigarette and then says, "F*ck it, smoking a joint on the Capitol steps right now."
Horning then posted on Facebook after the riot in which he said he was proud to take part in an event that he hoped would intimidate Congress into installing former President Donald Trump in the White House. ..............(more)

(4,292 posts)He along with all the other insurrectionists was supposed to get a blanket pardon from Cantaloupe Caligula!! What went wrong here?!?
Actions including and especially seditious ones have consequences.
And before long, his cell block may be filling up with other insurrectionists, so hell probably fit right in (ahem!) with those fellow inmates.

I dont think they considered being arrested in the least. They couldnt have. They taped themselves and posted it. Let alone the one time in history you could wear a mask and get away with it and they didnt. They took on the cops like they had not a concern in the world for ramifications. None.

They're so brainwashed, full of hate & self-loathing, that it never occurred to them that they would not successfully stage a coup.
Consequences were never considered. They thought they'd be hailed as heroes.
Even afterward, we heard about the purge on 1/20, now 3/4. They STILL think they're going to succeed in overturning an election that was over 4 months ago.
Only now, in the custody of the FBI or federal marshals has the possibility of consequences kicked in.

(32,904 posts)Even the ones who didn't post photos on Facebook, just being there and carrying a phone with GPS was enough to identify them. I think the feds have more than enough data, they just need to sift through it all.
