The calculator tab "lets you estimate COVID risk and find effective safety measures for customizable situations. Examples: how risky is a trip to my grocery store? What's the safest way to see a friend? How much would it help to wear a better mask at my workplace?"
the Risk Tracker tab "The microCOVID Risk Tracker is a spreadsheet that lets you estimate the risk of getting COVID from an activity or relationship in your daily life, using the best research available."

(2,203 posts)Some of the activities I have tried have surprised me. Seems like the confidence I have, even in N95 mask does not seem to play out as 'safe' as I would like.
I also hope they will update to indicate if you (or others in your interaction) have a vaccine or not. Does not seem like they have that parameter added in yet.

(6,907 posts)It is because of the number of people in close proximity. The baseline risk of airplane is set to 1/6 the risk of general indoors. So if you had that many people that close in grocery store the risk z as estimated on that calculator, would be higher.
