agregious that it was in public with lots of people around and a picture was even taken! Boorish maybe. But not like rape accusations as the other guy was accused of. Perspective, folks. Vote Cuomo out next time if constituents don't like it. They are All Frankening him.

We certainly learned from the Al Franken-prematurely-driven-from-office fiasco that all of those accusers' stories were not true.

Not to mention the Tara Reade lies told about Biden. Where is she now since those tales evaporated?

Investigate. Don't jump to conclusions.

""What Al did was stupid and foolish, and we think it was appropriate for him to apologize to Ms. Tweeden, and to the public. In our experience, we know Al as a devoted and dedicated family man, a wonderful comedic performer, and an honorable public servant. That is why we are moved to quickly and directly affirm that after years of working with him, we would like to acknowledge that not one of us ever experienced any inappropriate behavior; and mention our sincere appreciation that he treated each of us with the utmost respect and regard."

The statement concluded, "We send our support and gratitude to Al and his family this Thanksgiving and holiday season."

"Al Franken's Former Female Staffers Come to His Defense: 'He Treated Us With the Utmost Respect'

Eight of Sen. Al Franken‘s former female employees defended him on Friday in the wake of accusations.
“In our time working for the senator he treated us with the utmost respect,” the women said in the statement, according to the Washington Post. “He valued our work and our opinions and was a champion for women both in the legislation he supported and in promoting women to leadership roles in our office.”

6. So this is the first article I've read on the topic

I've been enjoying my post-tRump life, but now I'm so behind on the news.

When I was in the fifth or sixth grade, my health class introduced the topic of sexual harassment. They taught us that if you're spoken to or treated inappropriately in the workplace, the first thing you do is tell the person to stop. From there, if the behavior does not immediately stop, you escalate your complaint to your supervisor and/or human resources. Obviously, if it's assault, you would skip all of that and go straight to the police.

That teaching, right or wrong, shaped my opinion going forward. For me personally, the sexual harassment line is crossed after I've already said stop. Not before. I know it can be extremely difficult and uncomfortable, but a failure to be firm and direct with people (men) who make such advances will 100% ensure that the unwanted advances continue/ comments continue.

And yes, I completely get that grown adults should already know what is appropriate to say or not say, but you have to keep in mind that sometimes those comments get them the results they're seeking. For every individual who is disgusted, there may be one or more individuals who like it. Don't shoot the messenger. This is all just common sense, or at least should be. JMO.

immediately removed. Then he says she is 'aggressive' and tries to kiss her. The removal of the hand would be understood by most anyone.

If that happened then that sounds like assault to me.

Easy enough to find, I would imagine. I don't know if I'd call it assault, but it sure is inappropriate, and he should know better. I think he did a fantastic job during the early Covid days, and this is really disappointing.

Have been through a lot of standard employee trainings on this topic & if the "victim" does not tell perp to stop, there is no case.

He is being Frankened because he spoke out against dear leader! No doubt qpubes have their eyes on NY electoral votes!

I hope Dems do not fall for this!
