The Senate better not mess up the Rescue Bill,

How about getting all Democrats together and stripping out the $15 minimum wage and voting on the House Bill.

Mr. Manchin is already suggesting cuts. The longer this drags out the more nervous I get.

3. When is the President going to invite Manchin to the White House to have a one on one with him?

Maybe he needs pressure from the President to do the right thing since he won’t obviously listen to his constituents.

4. We have got to pick up 2 more Senate seats for real Democrats so we can sideline the 2 DINOS.

I'd love to see both Mancin and Sienema removed from any and all committees. They want to act like repugs, let them pay the price once we can afford that. For now, there is nothing that can be done.

6. Won't happen unless the filibuster is killed, which Manchin and Sinema oppose. Here's Why:

Killing the filibuster is the only way to pass new voting rights laws which will block state GOP gerrymandering (which will flip 6 house seats red before a single vote is cast) and new voter suppression laws (GA just passed a new law abolishing early voting on Sundays, when 10x as many black voters vote compared to whites). The GOP is working overtime in the states to rig the system for minority rule for a decade or more.

So waiting until 2022 to pick up 2 more senate seats is a futile strategy, because, without killing the filibuster and passing tough new voting rights laws means Dems lose the house, and at least Warnock loses his senate seat, possibly a few more- definitely no Dem pick ups in 2022 without new voting rights laws.

We have about 10 months to enact new voting rights laws before new district lines are finalized.

The only way to pick new Dem senators, making Manchin and Sinema irrelevant, is to make DC and Puerto Rico states...which won’t happen unless the filibuster is killed.

So, with the stakes so high (Dems in the minority for 10+ years, more competent fascism waiting in the wings for 2024), there is little downside to using a scorched earth strategy with Manchin and Sinema- offer them all the pork and earmarks that can fit into any bill, and if they still obstruct, strip them of their committee positions. They won’t dare switch to the GOP, as that would certainly end their careers in 2024- they likely wouldn’t even win their primaries.

And if the Dems lose the senate in 2022, Schumer should kick them out of the Dem caucus.

The votes were never there for the $15.
There is no possible workaround to getting it with the package.
Risking the whole thing for one impossible item, is absolutely selfish & dumb.

$15 mw has to be legislated on it's own aside from the Rescue Bill.
And it can & will be.
But to keep looking for some opening or some person to attach it, at this point risks delaying the entire package, or a slowing down of the urgency of the rest its benefits, at a time when they are so seriously needed.

I have no idea why the $15 is being allowed to hold hostage all other benefits.

Set it aside & approach it later. Its clear there will be some time needed for this to be worked out.
For now tho, please just table the $15
