The reason they use the term DEEPFAKE is because those are accomplished via deep learning neural networks.

If this same manipulation was accomplished by machine learning... then sure, it would be an audio deepfake.

Just clarifying for those unfamiliar with the term.

That CPAC woman was horrible. I lost track of the number of key changes in that one.

I remember a girl who sang the anthem for a high school basketball game and she had 16 key changes - I counted. But that was a brave girl who sang in front of the whole school, so I gave her points for that.

This is an adult woman in a "professional" situation. Guessing she won't be auditioning for The Voice soon.

Where DO they find these people? I'm guessing if you are capable at anything, you are not invited.

Singing the anthem live should just be dispensed with and a video of Whitney Houston singing it at the 1991 Super Bowl should be played. Not on has or will do it better.

we're so used to the female soprano voice being featured. To hear an alto is unexpected. She did a nice job.

Carl Lewis is an athlete and not a singer, so I will give him points for being a good sport and trying.

Roseanne Barr is a comedian and not a singer, so I would say she was there to do it badly on purpose to get a laugh.

Chaka Khan was trying some alternative tune, and when she got the words wrong it was interesting since later you can see a teleprompter with the words. The looks on the faces of the players shown said a lot.

Fergie is a singer so she should have done better.

Never heard of Sailor or Victoria, both rather bad.

I think I will go with Fergie, who turned in the worst performance in terms of her talent.
