As a Texan I want to apologize

For everything. From Abbott, to Cancun Cruz. I deeply apologize. I didn't vote for these scummy shitbags. I'll be doubling up on masks at this point since Abbott wants to play chicken. I guess since the winter storms didn't kill enough people, he wants to do it himself now.

All the anti-maskers die off.

Don't get me wrong. That's not how I would like for it to happen. I want them to live to see Texas turn Blue.

But, since it's out of my control...

Covid seems to have more of an impact on minorities.
Also minorities are not the best about wearing masks.
This is gonna hurt minorities more than anyone.

I feel for ya. You Texans (and Floridians) gotta spread the word far and wide, that your government is NOT working for you! They are working for their"God", they wanna be in tRumps and Lindseys world. They don't care about you. Just watch out for you, wear your masks, wash your hands of the stink of your stupid, stupid governor!

Just kidding. You have no reason to apologize.

I just moved to a red state last summer. It’s my first time living in one, and it can be a little challenging. I can’t imagine what it’s like to live in Texas.

Try to stay safe. Soon we’ll all have access to the vaccine and these fools won’t be able to endanger us as much.

I know what it's like to feel responsible. "We" in Colorado sent Boebert to the House. I didn't vote for her, but I still have a feeling of shame about it.

Down here in Florida, we've not only got DeSantis, we have pRick Scott and Marco Rubio. I don't understand how a state that went for Barack Obama TWICE voted in those assholes.

I just don’t understand how a state once truly called the bellwether could have lost its way so entirely (Missouri)

I don't understand how people have let it go so red. I do live in a blue county, but it is still outrageous to me how insane people have gotten.

Oh, and I haven't missed a vote since 1976 - I got so disgusted after Nixon was re-elected during my time voting, I didn't vote again for years. Then I met my future husband, whose brother worked for the Carter campaign and realized that it wouldn't get better unless people like me voted and haven't missed a single election since.

Texas is probably going to have a spike in new cases anyway, because of the storm, with all the people who had to go stay with family, friends, and neighbors, and go to shelters, warming stations, etc. - along with those who traveled to get away from it like Flyin' Ted. This will just make it much worse.

Gov. McMoron is easing restrictions here, too, although not the mask mandate. It's just a matter of time... We also have Leningrad Lindsey, Joke "You Lie" Wilson, and a bunch of other equally=loathsome wastes of flesh here, too. I didn't vote for those motherfuckers, either. I'm not about to hold your shitbags against you You are not responsible for them.

Of course, the state I moved to is only slightly less dysfunctional than Texas, but at least we have a functioning power grid that doesn't go belly up when it gets a bit nippy outside.
