Great to see Governor Abbott sportingly giving the virus a chance to win this thing

When we end up with some variant that mutates to be resistant to current vaccines, we can thank the invincible stupidity of people like Abbott.

It might be better just to get a special travel visa to get through, like they used to have for Mexico.

Planning a post-Covid road trip to visit folks in California and they have been all concerned about my driving through Texas. I have driven across Texas numerous times in the past. In general, I like Texans, although I am not fond of the looooong stretches of absolutely nothing. However, after the past year, I have had second thoughts about that place. Maybe the water is messed up just like the power grid. In any case, there don't seem to be too many sane ones in control so I'm planning to go up to OK and grab that little stretch to Amarillo. On third thought, I have broken down there before and it wasn't fun. Maybe, since I'm in no particular hurry I'll just skirt around the back roads of western OK and sneak into NM up around Taos. Beautiful country.

What is wrong with those people, and where did they kidnap Beto from?
