I don't think the dips that wrecked the Congress on Jan. 6 will be at it tomorrow. They won't go up agains real guns, up against the military.

But my tin hat is tingling when I revisit the old Burt Lancaster/Kirk Douglas movie. What if they won't have to go up against the military? What if gen. flynn has the backing of a large group of officers and soldiers? You know, the kind that trump spent the last six months stuffing in positions all through the pentagon.

it seems he went out of the way to dis the military. Standing at John Kelly's son's grave and saying "I don't get why anyone would do it" making his son's life and death meaningless. "I know more than the Generals" refusing the visit the military graveyard in France there are millions of examples.

I don't think they would have gone over for him even if he hadn't done that but this country sometimes feels like it's about to burst into flames and a smarter Prez would have made sure the military would follow him

His second horrid mistake is not treating Covid seriously and at least LOOKING like he was doing something. Had he played that a tad better he might have been reelected. Then he wouldn't have needed the military.

With nut cases like the the Flynn family, he might have won enough of them over to pull it off. But he lost the grunts. Fatal mistake.
