The Democratic House passes great bills that would help the American people. They either get watered down or get killed by moderate Democrats in the Senate. The American people don’t see results and blame the party in charge. The Republican propaganda machine kicks in...Democrats suffer mass losses in the House due to no fault if their own, but due to their senate colleagues....moderate Dems and the MSM claim that the reason for their losses was liberal overreach and policies when in reality it was due to not getting anything done due to the senate

4. I think it's too early for the doom-mongering. It's still a far-reaching bill

even with the new threshold. Manchin is a pain, yes, but not nearly as troublesome as the citizens of ersatz “blue” states like Maine who send far-right Republican extremists to the senate decade after decade.

8. Unnn, US ... can ... go down the paths of Turkey or some other eastern European countries

... where there's no real democracy but the exercise of voting that means little.

After yesterday I thought there would be NO ONE in the US military involved in a text book coup but there was Flynn's brother being part of the slow down of the DCNG response.

9. It was just a few years ago that we could wander the halls of Congress freely, unescorted.

I did it many times.

Now it's surrounded by razor wire and machine gun nests, with a thousand ft shoot to kill perimeter.

We are not on a good trajectory.
