Oh right, QAnon says Trump will take power again today.
I know, and anyone SANE knows it's bullshit.
But some wack job "militia" is going to throw a tantrum.
SOOOO...WHAT.
Do we close down our government every time a batshit crazy group makes a little noise?

(8,169 posts)It's a little bit more complicated than wackos on the outside of government is threatening Congress, when as is the case, the enemy is within. Remember on the 6th, they had their enablers planted inside, giving them tours of the layout of the Capitol inside, outside, and the tunnels who they wanted to trap the Congress members so they could gas them.
They are occupying seats in Congress. That's the difference.

(4,914 posts)Shutting down the Capitol is capitulation to terrorists. It cant be interpreted any other way than sheer cowardice. They won and apparently they can do this at will now.

(9,353 posts)Cant have it both ways. The problem is that there are hundreds of threats against the Capitol every week. What is actionable and what is not....in this instance, the House was able to complete its work last night and send Members home while waiting on the Senate. There was no reason not to finish work last night and then send the Members home while waiting on the Senate.
Now, we are comparing the Speaker to Neville Chamberlain, sometimes you just cant win.
