Only Republican to vote for police reform says he pressed wrong button

The House passed the George Floyd Justice In Policing Act on Wednesday night with just one Republican vote. And that one Republican now says it was an accident.

Representative Lance Gooden said after the vote that he pressed the wrong button when casting his vote for the sweeping police reform bill. The Texas congressman made clear that he did not support the legislation and later changed his vote.

"I accidentally pressed the wrong voting button and realized it too late," Gooden wrote in a tweet that he later deleted. "I have changed the official record to reflect my opposition to the partisan George Floyd Policing Act."

Gooden later posted another tweet showing the form he submitted to flip his vote.

Honestly it looked like the same button Trump uses when he wants a Diet Coke.

I can understand being tired because the voting was in the middle of the night. But hopefully they will slow down on just hitting the button from here on out.

2. Who needs buttons? I think we can assume at this point that Republicans are against anything.

We should just automatically put them all down as No votes unless a bill to cut taxes for the rich comes up.
