I feel obliged to mention, however, that it's a bit ... uh ... inconsistent on the part of the Chief to say in one message that a Police Chief has little or no impact on who gets let out of jail ... and then applauding himself in the very next message for 'leading the charge' ... to impact who gets let out of jail.
Sorry, something in my brain is wired to immediately pick up on logical inconsistencies in people's arguments ...
