The hiring and placement of royal staff goes through Buckingham Palace. To not investigate these staff complaints would be unthinkable.

I think it's the latter. And after what was done to Princess Di by that family, I think I'll believe the American Black woman (and btw, Black women are always saving our asses on this side of the pond) as to what is what. He is a veteran who served honorably. Nobody can take that from him, or should.
He loses his honorary military titles (patronages) because he can no longer fulfill the ongoing duties expected of wearing those uniforms, and they require a lot of time and commitment. The Queen held them in suspension for a year before reappointing those duties to other people. She wanted to make sure Prince Harry was sure he would not return first.

They’re attacking her core argument that she was bullied out of the country by accusing her of being a bully. It’s a nasty bit of business but tactically probably their only play if they want to be aggressive. But for people who can read between the lines, and can understand that the palace leaked the story about the investigation into her alleged bullying of staff it just looks really bad for the family.

I also think the leak to the Times was done as much for international audiences as it was intended for people in the UK. I think most people in the UK have been conditioned by their media to dislike Meghan already. But she and Harry are still popular in the US.

In some ways this is much rougher stuff than the Charles-Diana wars of the 90s.

I think the firm went after Meghan to build up Kate and William. Too many stories made Meghan the wicked witch and the Kate the perfect demure white English Princess. This started when rumors of Williams affair surfaced. Most of William and Harry’s life the Firm would do similar stories on William and Harry where Harry was the rowdy one and William responsible. I think Harry wanted out and did not want to live his life as a foil to his older brother and his family
