How many people voted for dump? A very significant segment of the voting population is, and has been, easily convinced to vote against their own interests. They're too brainwashed, now, to be affected by QaRon Johnson's obstructionism and stupidity or Moscow Mitch's allegiance to big business and raw lust for power.
The only thing I can think of that might break this hold is grassroots warfare for voting rights and voter mobilization. If we can't convince the majority to vote, what chance have we got?
