That requires Senators and Congress critters to divest of all individual stocks. Only allowed to invest in mutual funds etc.

Yeah. That'll go far.

(I believe that Joe Biden has never owned specific stocks - for this reason.)

It's kinda like the good old "Person A has ties to XYZ" guilt-by-association thing.

Just sayin.

Heather Bresch

(snips)

Heather Manchin Bresch (née Manchin; born June 27, 1969) is an American business executive. In 2012, she was named as the chief executive officer (CEO) of Netherlands-based pharmaceutical company Mylan, becoming the first woman to run a Fortune 500 pharmaceutical company. Bresch retired in 2020, upon the closing of Mylan’s combination with Upjohn. In 2015, she was listed as #22 in Fortune magazine's “Most Powerful Women” list.

Bresch is the daughter of former West Virginia Governor and current U.S. Senator, Joe Manchin. Bresch has been a central figure in two controversies: a 2007 accusation of inflating her resume with an unearned MBA degree, and as the CEO of Mylan during the 2016 controversy over pricing of the company's EpiPen products.

Proxy filings show that from 2007 to 2015, Bresch's compensation rose from $2,453,456 to $18,931,068, a 671% increase in pay.

In July 2019, Bresch announced that she would retire in 2020 after Mylan merged with Upjohn. The merger was completed in November 2020 and Bresch stepped down. The new company was named Viatris.

...this is raw and weird to this 68 year oldster. I wonder how my 9th grade creative writing and English teacher would have reacted if we were given this instead of 'Ode to Billy Joe' to analyze and interpret.

11. This shouldn't prevent us from raising the minimum wage to $15 at the state level.

It's $11.75 in Vermont which is pretty good compared to many other states but Vermont being safely blue, ought to have no trouble raising it ti $15. Heck Florida did it.
