If the former glorious leader of the the United States can have around 20 women make serious accusations sexual misconduct against him and then waltz around the room with glee, Cuomo should not resign.
Im not condoning the behavior by any means, but the lowly standard has been set, and Democrats have always been quick to do the right thing. If Cuomo touched some women inappropriately but did no more, he should stop the behavior and learn a hard lesson. To the best of my knowledge, there has not been a rape referral against Cuomo, just some uncomfortable advances. I dont believe there has been an allegation of rape, as was the case with the former Idiot in Chief.
Again, this was very bad and stupid of Cuomo, but it pales in comparison to what we let Trump get away with.

(35,298 posts)Cuomo would have been a good presidential candidate. Now all of a sudden they want him to resign. Maybe we should use the Susan Collins rule "I think he has learned his lesson". Instead of eating our own.

(82,849 posts)Would that they devote as much attention to, say, Gov. Abbott of Texas or Gov. DeSantis of Florida. I realize those far-flung locales aren't as close to the Center of the Universe (aka 30 Rockefeller Plaza), but there are some pretty juicy, newsworthy shenanigans happening in Austin and Tallahassee that make Cuomo's situation look tame by comparison.

(721 posts)The poll conducted by Quinnipiac University between March 2-3, found that 55% of New Yorkers believe Cuomo should remain in office while 40% believe he should resign.
According to the poll, 74% of Democratic voters are in favor of the governor remaining in office, while 70% of Republicans call for his resignation. Among independent voters, 52% back resignation while 44% oppose it.

That makes more sense.
