That's the only word for Sinema's little flounce and thumbs down gesture against the minimum wage. She thinks she's cute. I hope she sees herself trending on twitter because people are not amused.
She's trying to imitate McCain's vote against repealing ACA, but that was done to help people. Get it, Sinema? Saving people's healthcare is not the same as taking a minimum wage hike away. In fact, you might say that they're kind of opposites.
Seriously, one of the weirdest things I've ever seen in politics.

(3,696 posts)I live in Indiana but donated to her Senate campaign. Never again. Her vote is even more astonishing since Kelly voted for the bill and he's has to run again in 2022.

(14,150 posts)Sinema was mimicking McCain with the thumbs down jesture,...
... in full camera view at the front of the clerk's desk. As McCain did during the big vote down of the Obama ACA that Mitch and trDump wanted to badly trash, but McCain prevented it from happening.
McCain achieved great notoriety for having done this in such dramatic fashion. Sinema wanted to stand in the same spotlight of notoriety,.. hoping to burnish and polish her Senate career, as was done by John McCain in the well of the US Senate.
Her little dance was the celebration of high drama she employed like McCain,.. but Sinema's high drama was far less noble purposes. Her thrill was denying low wage folks no minimum wage increase that they need so badly. Where as McCain provided assurances lower income people could retain affordable medical health insurance coverage for themselves and their families that otherwise they could not afford the high costs of insurance coverage.

(47,053 posts)Only a few explanations fit the facts and her behavior.
It was obviously not a hard decision for her, and she was quite happy.

(17,028 posts)I admit I am bewildered. I can be very cynical, but I don't understand the little flounce and the showmanship What does she gain by that? It's not like Republicans will vote for her.

(47,053 posts)So what explanations does that leave us with?
The little flounce was the confirmation as far as I am concerned.

(17,028 posts)but maybe I'm just slow. I was just on her twitter account and she retweeted someone complimenting her on bringing a chocolate cake to the staff last night. She is getting ratioed like I've never seen anyone get ratioed. So I guess she thinks it's bright to encourage the Marie Antoinette meme too. All I got is that she wants attention for some reason.
