Have there always been so many batshit crazy elected officials?

Right off, I’m thinking of Lauren whatever her name is from Colorado, Marjorie Taylor Greene, Kristi Noem, governor of South Dakota, Ted Cruz, Matt Gaetz, Greg Abbott.

(I didn’t list Graham, because while he is despicable, he isn’t batshit crazy.)

They're just a bit more visible now, but they've always been a factor.

The difference now is that they used to be limited to the fringes of the party. Now, they're in the middle of it.
