On CSPAN there was an amendment to extend UE benefits to July 18

The final vote was Yes 50 No 49

A couple of questions

I am somewhat confused because I thought we had an agreement to extend it to September, and who was the missing Senator?

Technically a further extension from July 18 to sept 5 plus the tax relief so not necessarily conflicting.

The amendment extends the $300 weekly supplemental benefit until July.

So he should then vote to support the one that extends until September and has the tax forgiveness. Hopefully he follows through with that later.

I think it’s well past time for the Senate to adopt electronic voting. The roll call is more outdated nonsense. One of many required reforms badly needed.
