About Senator Kyrsten Sinema, elected in 2018, Will NOT Be Up for Reelection till 2024. That's Why..

....she did what she did....Three years from November 2021, no one will remember her thumbs down action on the
minimum wage......

She doesn't give a s**t about anyone else, and she is sure that in 2024, everyone will have forgotten her move of thumbs down.

If she was up for reelection in 2022, she wouldn't have done what she did....But she is ....so sure that she can get away with it, that is why she did what she did.

....Another ..."Sure I Can Get Away With It Fool" ...just like Trump....Sinema is an embarrassment to all of us...

It just looks bad.

And I get why she voted no. But it looked so terrible.

8. "Theatrical" is an extremely charitable description of her performance.

Those few seconds will follow her around for the rest of her life.

13. It doesn't just look bad, it's pouring salt into the wound of voters who are struggling

Any Elected official holding any office should have at the minimum an awareness, be conscience of people who are their voters are impacted economically or otherwise by any vote on any piece of legislation. She should be cognizant of the impact on every voter in her state and the vote she takes will either hurt or help her constituents.

And by constituents I'm referring to families struggling to stave off hunger and homelessness.

As a Democrat, I'm shocked that she doesn't get that if you're going to place a vote which is sure to hurt these voters, you do it with as little fan fare as possible. Not rub salt into the wound caused through no fault of their own.

I understand there are small businesses who are worried and complaining about the min wage who she may consider as her only voters, but it's the responsibility of the Office holder to explain to their constituents how they will be helped, or that the economic impact will not be what they fear.

But based on her "sexism" claims and defense, it's clear she's lacking in many basic common sense departments, to put it mildly.

10. In a way, it reminds me of Claire McCaskill

Purple states, one becoming less blue one more.

I think one of the reasons McCaskill lost to that total jackass Hawley is that she spent her time bashing "the left" and telling rural Missouri that she was "kinda republican". She ran to the right, instead of informing rural Missouri of the good done by the ACA, the benefits of having a Democratic government. People (even the ones not brainwashed by rightwing radio and TV) will vote for a real republicon over someone saying "i'm kinda like them I'm not so bad". She should have run as a proud liberal democrat.

That's how Sinema strikes me. She should be aggressively and proudly promoting Democratic philosophy and helping continue moving Arizona from purple to blue. But she seems to be doing that "I'm not much different, and sometimes just like, republicons". I think it's a mistake.

15. THIS !!!! ☝🏾☝🏾☝🏾, I pray someone learned for her mistake of being mushy middle and not

... full blown into what she wanted to push left leaning agenda.

The 'middle' is no doubt a mistake because actions are based off of non verified perceptions

NOW ... someone in AZ is going to run left of Sinema in 2024 !!!

20. It is a HUGE mistake

And these so-called Democratic "consultants" have been peddling that same line of thought for over 10 years now.

That's why Democrats lost the House in 2010 and ultimately the Senate in 2014. Plus it escalates from there - Obama's Supreme Court pick and plenty of judicial nominees blocked because of it. Democrats lost like 1,000 state legislative seats and were the victims of supreme gerrymandering because of losing so many seats.

I don't know how those consultants keep getting hired. They advised Dems to run from Obama in 2010 and 2014. They told McCaskill to distance herself in Missouri. They told Kay Hagan to not mention Obama's name in NC. And on and on and on. When will Democrats wise up and say, "Enough."

I always bring up one of my favorite quotes from Alan Grayson in Florida about this kind of stuff: "You can't beat a Republican by trying to BE one."

it wasn’t so much her voting against it, it was the gleeful way in which she did. It seems like trolling or something. Of course she’s better than Republicans but yesterday’s display was unnecessary.

Neither emotion was appropriate for keeping Americans in poverty.

27. Having to vote on a bill that she opposed as part of the stomulus

That had already been ruled as ineligible for reconciliation. Had Bernie not pulled his stunt she wouldn’t have pulled hers.
Still think her optics were terrible, but they weren’t necessary if Bernie had accepted that minimum wage wasn’t part of the stimulus.

12. she said she was for an increase in the minimum wage

...just not tied to the Covid bill

That is a defensible position. Now, let's see what she does when they work up a separate bill to increase the minimum wage.

16. This point gets lost

She voted no on meaningless legislation that wouldn’t have passed even if she had voted yes, and would’ve been stripped from the final bill anyhow, further delaying relief. Unfortunately she made a scene and looked like a brazen fool in the process.
