The hyperbolic proclamations of some to the contrary notwithstanding.

This is how politics works. No one ever gets 100% of what they want, and compromise is almost always necessary. Manchin's position required some negotiation, but in the end, this was always going to be the result.

And Joe got everything he wanted save for $15 an hour which was effectively killed by the parliamentarian.

Instead of 25 weeks UE extension with a $400 boost you got 26 weeks with a $300 boost plus $10,200 of it to be tax exempt.

This is amazing for the country!
