In the end, Dems remained united behind an enormous package nearly three times the 2009 stimulus that will help untold numbers of people. Amid two of the biggest US crises of modern times, it's sobering to imagine what we'd be seeing now if it weren't for the Georgia runoffs.

...but in this close majority, it's one or two holdouts who have said they'd block it.
One cares more about corps in his state than the poor folks who voted for him, another holdout got elected promising to fight for a higher wage. Logic isn't going to work better with them than raw political confrontation, organization, and, ultimately, challenges.
