Her no vote was in some way a personal victory for her.

(43,262 posts)about it and they claimed it was for the Senate clerks. When the reporters asked why did she not just take it to their staff area kitchen (as they cannot eat it on the Senate floor and many were not there when she brought it in) like how most all other gifts of food are handled, the spox cut off questions and walked away. (per MSNBC yesterday my time)

(6,582 posts)The ratio of negative comments (criticizing the tweet) to positive ones is high.

(7,509 posts)It's very easy to press a button to like a tweet, so usually tweets have more likes than replies.
It's those special tweets that are so toxic that they inspire more people to take the time to type out replies than to like the tweet.

The pong of this image will follow her for quite a while, not matter how much she tries to scrape it off of her shoe.

(15,315 posts)No Dem should ever show joy at voting down anything that helps the poor, no matter her reasons for the vote. There is no excuse for that.

(58,785 posts)CONSTITUENTS elect those they want to represent them in government. Those constitutionally incapable of respecting that have always just had to lump it. Resentful, sour faces from years of bitter losses are what they get out of it in this country.
As for Sinema, ONLY residents of AZ get to decide who will represent them and from which party.
Btw, those who believe they have the right to deny others their sovereignty are anti-democratic. Of course. When you see descriptions of groups as anti-democracy, that behavior's one of their chief identifying characteristics.
That's also the key identifier of the anti-democratic trumpists who believe all who oppose their choices don't deserve to vote. The appalling similarity between LW and RW anti-democracy zealots is NOT a coincidence. It's a commonality. Another commonality is that they choose leaders they believe approve their hostility to the rights of people who'd vote for Hillary or Sinema.

(24,267 posts)There are Nurses and other medical professionals out there who work 24 hrs straight. And they do it often, especially this past year. And they don't make a big deal out of it and expect people to think they did anything heroic. I know, I'm married to a retired one. Remember this the next time you "work" for 24 hours.
