In terms of racism and hypocrisy, We mirror Great Britain more than we realize

right now the royal family is attacking their very own prince and his black wife ahead of an Oprah Winfrey interview.

Their focus of outrage? Meghan Markle mistreated some of the staff.

Never mind that it was said and proven that many white royals have done the same and it's been documented thru the years.

Yet the Queen's son has been accused of sleeping with 13 and 14 year old girls and not a peep about an investigation into that.

is part of the smear campaign against her.

The lack of outrage over Andrew while she gets the hate says it all.

Perhaps there is some of that, but my opinion is that it has to do with her being a foreigner, and not part of their "social" upper class. She's an outsider. They thought of Princess Di the same way, and she at least had some things going for her that Meghan does not.

And as for Meghan, why does she have to be put on some sort of a pedestal? Perhaps there is truth to stories of how she treated staff. Maybe it's all made up, but it's at least possible there's some truth to it. Nobody's perfect, and if I've learned one thing, it's that you can't always necessarily know what someone's really like, especially when they hide behind a spin machine, designed to only convey positive attributes.

To be honest, I don't care for any of them. I have never liked Harry since he thought it would be a bright idea to play Nazi Dress Up. Does he not know the fucking history of the Germans and British in the 1930's & 40's? William seems normal, but there's certainly skeletons in his closet as well.

Honestly, if I wouldn't be interested in Harry & Meghan when they were actually part of the Royal family, why would I care about them now? What is it about them that's so special? She was a moderately successful actress, and he's an ex member of Royalty. I suppose it's the Drama and Soap Opera qualities that people are drawn to. I find it unbelievable that they're making money off the fact they are estranged from the Royal family. I'm sure they got a boatload from the Oprah interview. I guess they need the money to make the mortgage payments on their new place in Montecito, CA and maintain their lifestyle standards.

I'm not into the Royal family at all, but it's disgusting that they would exhibit racism for the world to witness.

Utterly disgusting and disappointing.

insult her? Why are they the ones the family backs? The Duchess is an American Black woman who I'm betting isn't taking any snide, British, racist crap, which is why the couple lives in America now.

The family looks like petty racists behind this. And remember the one royal who wore the blackamoor brooch to a party, a direct insult to the Duchess.

Very little has changed.
I detest all royals - everywhere.
Ask queenie (and the British press) about her son Andrew and get back to me.
These are monsters and I will never understand people's (who claim to love democracy) obsession with them.
You cannot have democracies and monarchies - choose one. I believe in democracy.

leader? I like to point that out to my Brit friends and ask them why they continue to let BOJO destroy their country. And don't get me started on the Brit Royals. On a daily basis
I read stories in The BBC and Guardian about things like The Queen's Privilege that lets
royals have a veto on proposed governmental policies.

Thanks for reminding me that Meaghan Is Black! Pardon me if I don't swoon at that
information. I think she's as cute as a bugs ear and I wish her and Harry well, though for
people who say all they want is privacy they're sure in the news a lot.

Oh well, anywhere you go it's people who are causing trouble. The Brit media brings a lot
of grief to The Royal Family and Brit Politicians. And that's good.

we came from, including this continent. Nothing overly special about the royal family, including Nazi sympathies among some members back when.

As for what's happening now, the Buckingham Palace contingent are acting like the dysfunctionals who expose themselves for exploitation on Dr. Phil. Yuck! What's the world coming to?

Yeah, we still have residual vestiges of those things residing in our national DNA from England, but whatever.

Not really concerned about the royal family. Last I heard, we don't have one, and just rejected a wannabe last November.
