The future of tRumpism

My first day as an economics major, in 1978, I was taught that there was one and only one hard, fast and immutable rule. That hard, fast, immutable rule: everything will change.

At the same time I enjoyed George Benson's song.

So here we are with Winter turning into Spring both literally and figuratively. I am optimistic. I think we will continue to turn out to vote and we will win elections. This will demoralize the fringes, suppressing Republican turnout and causing the opportunists to reconsider their own fascism.

It won't be easy, as we are already seeing here in GA. We no sooner turned blue than the republicans, who still control most of the state government, were busily finding new ways to suppress the vote of Democrats, especially PoC. But we have seen the mountain top and we know it is worth the uphill fight to get there again. Once the people have a taste of a fair election, we are not going to quietly sit down and shut up.
