Wisdom The Albatross, Now 70, Hatches Yet Another Chick

The world's oldest known wild bird — a 70-year-old albatross named Wisdom — has hatched yet another chick in the Hawaiian archipelago.

Biologists first identified and banded Wisdom in 1956.

"Each year that Wisdom returns, we learn more about how long seabirds can live and raise chicks," said the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service's Beth Flint.

I always understood the smaller the animal...the shorter the life span...so kind of insect or mouse on one end of the spectrum and whales and elephants on the other side. Nature never fails to prove how awesome life is.
