https://www.kshb.com/news/local-news/sen-roy-blunt-says-he-wont-seek-re-electionIt's been a rumor for the past several months and it's now true. Several Democrats have already lined up to run against him so the new GOP nominee will be interesting. Vicky Hartzler desperately wants it but there is so much misogyny in the MO GOP I'm not sure she'll get it. She wanted Josh Hawley's seat but was advised that it wasn't her time.

(29,674 posts)Greitens wants the seat. He will have support but there will be plenty to vote against him. He's an embarrassment for most in our state.

The candidates are slowly announcing right now. I know Scott Sifton, former state senator, has announced. We also know Greitens has an exploratory committee as a Republican.

(29,674 posts)When she was paying for high rents on HQ and was supporting most of the other races down ticket. I know in several counties he paid nothing for office rent, including my county.
Hawley used state vehicles, computers, etc to campaign. He's also embroiled in a dark money scandal. The SuperPACS were hit and heavy for him, with lots of paid advertising/merchandise/signage,etc.
Most outside of Missouri have no idea how dirty that race was up until the very end. It's a race that should have been investigated.
