Why are 1000 National Guard at Minneapolis courthouse where there is a large peaceful crowd for George Floyd trial? On Jan 6, it took 4 hours after a violent mob attacked the Capitol, threatened lives and property and the functioning of government to get 154 guards to the site.

threaten to go to DC on Jan 6th and then just not have shown up. The preparations would have been quite different, and just maybe not all of the insurrectionists would have been allowed to just saunter out of the Capitol to mosey on back to their Trump Hotel rooms.

I was watching the news this morning and they showed the peaceful protesters (hundreds, not thousands) standing near the barricade fencing, windows all boarded up, high fencing with razor wire. The only reason I could come up with in my head for this month long fortification was it is just straight up racism. The insurrectionists in DC were way more of a threat!

Those 1,000 are a lesson learned from January 6th. Today they could have had thousands of gun thumpers show up and storm the Minneapolis court house. It’s hard to predict. I know that since they didn’t this looks unfavorable. But the governor had no idea the outcome.

It took a couple of days for the agitators to arrive in Minneapolis after the Murder of George Floyd. But they did show.

Arson and looting and all of that was rampant on like the second or third night until the national guard came in force. There was definitely a lot of reports of cars with no license plates driving around at high speed, people stashing arson materials around town, all of that. It was a big difficult to discern what was actually malicious and what wasn't. I know on my block we set up roadblocks at both ends of the street (I live half a block from lake street and 3 blocks from the 3rd precinct). We ran off more than a few people who definitely weren't from around here.

NOT black domestic terrorism. Those whose job is to end it are extremely aware of that.

The white terrorist groups are eager to cause big trouble, to stop the loss of the "gains" of January 6. This event is a possible, very obvious target, definitely the more so for its "large, peaceful crowd" of black people.

my house would be visible from this angle now. It was scary having that all going on so close. I was definitely shell shocked for a long time.

Here's the angle of that same fire from my back yard
