Biden Returns Portraits of Clinton and Bush
March 9, 2021 at 7:01 am EST By Taegan Goddard
The official presidential portraits were visible in the entrance hallway of the executive mansion in a video the White House posted to its social media accounts in honor of Black History Month.

It seems as though the 'last guy' never got around to scheduling that......

(31,261 posts)President Joe Biden is a class person. He likely is scheduling the ceremony for the President Obama portrait being hung with other Presidential portraits. He is also likely letting Trump pick his official artist and will most likely invite Trump to the ceremony for his portrait and hang that portrait with those of all previous Presidents. Why? Because President Biden actually has class and understand that some elements of his job can never be made personal.

(11,560 posts)As outrageous, infantile and heedless of the normal modes of behaviour that act was, it was just one snowball in an avalanche. Can't be expected to remember everything, when "everything" is so vast.

(33,059 posts)Ack! I can't think of the word for it... Protection of the legacy of the office and fear of repulsing the general public as to what a complete monster was installed in it for four years. We are NEVER to be told.
They're lucky I'm not in charge and President Biden's administration has some measure of grace. Because, if I were there the order of the day would be to, "Spill it all, baby! It's laundry day."

(6,477 posts)For those too young, when George W. Bush took office, there was a story that some (it was never specified how many - it might have been one or two) White House keyboards had the "W" removed by departing Clinton staff for spite. It was an absolutely major news story for weeks, held up as a sign of the pettiness of Democrats.
Trump refused to have a portrait ceremony for Obama and even went as far as to place Clinton and Bush's portraits in a storage closet? Fucking crickets. CRICKETS! Bipartisan disrespect of former Presidents, and this is the first we're hearing about it?

(4,756 posts)Taped to the door. I personally know the guy that did the prank.
The w admin went out of their way to make a mountain out of a mole hill. They also claimed the place was trashed and left in shambles. The press went along of course until they interviewed the maintenance guys that clean up after each transition when he disputed that nonsense.
And when they pressed him further he stated the biggest mess was left by ghwb admin...

(11,905 posts)I wonder if an inventory of items they stole has been done yet. We all saw tapes of them walking out with a stuffed pheasant, a bronze bust of Lincoln, etc.
Dark n Stormy Knight
(9,760 posts)Or was it, "could have" belonged to them. However, I'd like to know what sort of inventory normally is done and if it was done before & after Pissolini.
I would be surprised if most of the Crooked Trump Admin didn't steal physical items, along with everything else they stole.

And now, if my memory serves me, nude statuary of Trump also began to appear as well. Caution, it's not kid safe. But, heck, it's nothing more graphic than a turgid mushroom cap.

In a country of 330 million, its about 15%. Thinking about it with the entire population included helps me stay sane.

The msm gives WAYYYY too much weight to the vocal stupid traitorous morans behavior.
Most of The People just want to be able to support their families, receive affordable health care, educate their children, and enjoy a disease free world; they really don't give a rat's arse about politics except during election season.

I haven't even been back to the States since the inauguration. For reasons that should be obvious, I was never invited back to the White House after Obama left office, and I certainly didn't give them any reason to invite me during the Trump years!
