Letter From 23 In NY Assembly

ALBANY - A group of 23 Democratic women in the state Assembly said Monday an attorney general's investigation of Governor Andrew M. Cuomo should be allowed to be completed - a pushback against those calling for the governor's resignation. The effort is notable in part because it is led by Majority Leader Crystal Peoples-Stokes (D-Buffalo), the second-most powerful member of the Assembly.

"We request that she be allowed the appropriate time to complete her investigation rather than undermine her role and responsibility as the chief law enforcement officer of the state of New York," the letter read.

Investigate the allegations thoroughly and then let the cards fall as they may. We've seen these rush to judgment consequences before. Do it the right way in allowing the investigation to proceed until completed. The women will have their voices heard, their complaints fully appreciated and Governor Cuomo's fate will be decided in the aftermath.
