A question about an old medical device

I use a CPAP machine and got a new one today. The old one is still working, though it says the motor is past its life. So, can this be given to someone to use? I hate to have it go to waste.

right in thinking there are many people out there who should be using a CPAP but can't afford the out-of-pocket.

Here's a website that takes donations https://www.sleepapnea.org/cpap-machine-donation/?gclid=Cj0KCQiA1pyCBhCtARIsAHaY_5dAR27TQEg1y47QJ6nEaV8FUScrIj12G37Z2286s1qbTcDKl-2jbZcaAlCREALw_wcB

There may be others? I googled "donate an old cpap"

Good luck, and thanks for thinking of others. Mr. Maru would suffer greatly without his cpap. You're doing a very good thing.

I wanted an extra CPAP machine for the girlfriend's house so I wouldn't have to lug mine back and forth between the houses.

If you're old enough, Medicare will get you one every five years. When I get my newest one, the old one still worked. After a while it died. The medical supply company had used/refurbished models for sale for $250 but I didn't want to spend that much. They called me recently and had one for $150. For that price I grabbed it up. It's the same model that I've already got, the ResMed S10. It's only a year old so it still has one year left on the warranty. That means the final three years out of the five for Medicare have no warranty.

I think they were able to knock down the price because I was due for supplies for my regular one anyway. The hose and mask supplies were part of the regular supply order anyway.

The tech said that they normally sell new for around $750 or sometimes a tiny bit less.

I sent myself a note from the smartphone to my email using voice to text.

CPAP came out to be "sheep have".
