Senate Advances Nomination of Merrick Garland for Attorney General, 70-29

The Senate advances Pres. Biden's nomination of Merrick Garland to be AG, 70-29. His confirmation vote takes place tomorrow at 2:15pm. Other Biden nominee votes tomorrow include Rep. Marcia Fudge for HUD secretary & Michael Regan to head the EPA.

I will be interested in the full vote tomorrow, which if any republicans vote for Garland

Schumer takes procedural steps to advance Deb Haaland nomination, setting up a vote to overcome GOP objections by Thursday. Confirmation vote likely will be on Monday. She has the votes to be confirmed @mkraju

Good. Everyone endorses his character and competence, yet the GOP keeps screwing with him. Thankfully it looks like that’s finally about over.
