COVID funds distribution.
It will make me sick to hear stories of grift once this kicks off. Hopefully they are establishing an oversight team.

(151 posts)Transparency in approach is critical to keep down grift. Dont want republicans to make this their new talking point instead of dr Seuss.

(7,947 posts)Especially money going to business where there's a lot of variation of numbers. With us regulars, there's not a lot of opportunity to grift because the checks are identical and getting them is tied to already existing financial docs... social security checks, tax returns.
I despair of ever effectively policing money going to business and organizations. But at least now the administration won't be trying to help the grift.

Kick in to the DU tip jar?
This week we're running a special pop-up mini fund drive. From Monday through Friday we're going ad-free for all registered members, and we're asking you to kick in to the DU tip jar to support the site and keep us financially healthy.
As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.
