Hello DU! I am a longtime member here and have never asked for money in previous elections, BUT...Here is my ActBlue page. Election is April 6th.
I am running for re-election along with 2 other current members. We enjoy working together and want to serve another term to finish some of our work. But we have a formidable challenger trying to unseat one of us: a former Board president who has decided to get back on the Board and mess things up. She was horrible to work with and has a huge following, money, and name recognition. She is not a team player. She is anti-union and worked against our educators and other union-represented employees when Scott Walker pushed Act 10 through.
I, along with the other two people running on a slate, have worked HARD to listen to our educators, engage them in the process of how we treat them, pay them, and advocate for them. We have Exceeded Expectations on our state report card (2019...there wasn't one in 2020 due to the pandemic and no testing) for the first time EVER, and we have balanced our budget.
We feel we are best suited to continuing the work our functional School Board is doing. Money is an issue and that is the only reason I am turning to DU. Otherwise, I wouldn't ask y'all for money. People are not donating like they did when I first ran several terms ago (against this same person). People are broke. And this challenger knows all the wealthy folk in town. And this race costs money.

(14,014 posts)...just in case DUers don't happen to recognize Stoughton, or remember Scott Walker.
It's a better use of some of my stimulus $ than for another six-pack.
Again, good luck.

I did do a quick internet-dive to locate your policy positions, and as my late granddad would have said, "Sister, you're aces and I like your moxy!"
