(10,429 posts)Fake news reps should only get to ask their stupid questions AFTER all of the legitimate reporters have finished.

Psaki is incredible. What a star!

(10,143 posts)every day just so Jen can give clear detailed explanations of reality. And Doocy is flattered by all the attention. He's the perfect foil for Psaki.

(47,399 posts)though I think it is far better for Psaki than it is for Doocy. He probably loves the spotlight anyway.

(182,773 posts)She kept the issues separate as they should be. Nice try Douchey Jr.

(430 posts)Douchebag Junior from Faux gets far too much attention. There is no reason for her to entertain him at all, and that goes for the other Repukican propagandists. They will not be competent, polite, and knowledgeable. They should not be in the room.

(182,773 posts)Well if they can fill up the holding areas with illegals why cant they fill up the classrooms?
And then proceed to agree with themselves over and over and over

(2,008 posts)I couldn't quite figure out what he was getting at, but it was a "gotcha" (probably recognizable to the Faux Faithful) built upon some sort of false equivalency between crowding kids together in classrooms vs holding areas for "illegals".
Never mind two huge differences between the situations:
1) the alternative situations for the two groups are very different. Remote instruction from mostly safe, comfortable homes vs classroom instruction is a very different choice than "humane holding areas" vs. "holding pen with a cement floor to sleep on with a mylar blanket"
2) The level of federal control over its own immigration facilities vs CDC advice to state and local boards of education.
Psaki was right to say they were two very different issues and to reject the false equivalency.

(7,809 posts)The CDC gave guidelines for immigration and guidelines for schools.
The border situation is under direct federal control. Schools are under local control - no feds involved beyond CDC guidelines for safety.
Yet, he is dragging in comparing unions and wondering why Biden is not taking more control of school openings around the country.
So sick of imbeciles.

(82,849 posts)I like how she stopped the back-and-forth to say "This is important," and that it matters to have the situation properly defined. Pulls the teeth right out of the "She didn't take me seriously!" whine that you know Fox would use later.
It put me in mind of my freshman Statistics class many years ago. The professor was going through an explanation of something or other, and one of the students had a very subtle question about the process. The professor wasn't quite grasping what the question was about, but I could tell that the subject wasn't germane to the lesson, and didn't make a difference anyway (sample sizes or standard deviations or whatever). They went back and forth a few times, and the student was getting a little peeved that his genius wasn't being recognized. Finally, the professor had had enough as well, pointed to the board and said, "There's my answer. What's your question?"

(90,335 posts)... he had not done his research on Psaki pattern of retort.
He should have known she asks for specifics to counter the nebulous example (such as "people say" or "they are ... " bullshit that comes out of the M$M.
Looks like she's prepared for FAUX News talking point, that's a good thing
