3. Grothman was one of the Wisconsin state legislators when we drove up to Madison twice to march

with labor back during the Walker years. We went into the Capitol rotunda and chanted while the legislature was present. Of course, no one was armed and no property was damaged. We were not Republicans, after all!

Grothman was one of those guys whose body language, facial expressions and blatant arrogance immediately told you about his character. I think I reflexively curled my lip the first time I saw him. He was real popular with the 10 or 12 busloads of "concerned citizens" the Koch brothers paid for and made it very obvious we were "liberal riffraff" and ought go be arrested if not shot.

Just the memories still make the hairs on my neck stand up!
