What two words are the root for the contraction ya'll?

6. I grew up in the south.

Nobody said “You”. That word was pronounced “Ya”.

So, I say, the word that is contracted here is “All”, not “You”. Ya’ll.

Just my two cents. Just good to see someone spelling it “my way”.
